Nonviolent Wilmington and Pacem in Terris, through special arrangement with Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service, present a rare opportunity for a free 2-hour virtual workshop with noted nonviolence trainers, authors, and advocates Veronica Pelicaric and Rivera Sun.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Learn to exercise nonviolence to self, nonviolence to all others, and nonviolence to the entire earth and its creatures in pursuit of peace and change.  Through exercises and examples, this virtual workshop will give you an overview of different aspects of the journey and how nonviolent practices specifically speak to the times we are living in.  Participants will get a glimpse of how to delve deeper into their particular areas of interest.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Veronica Pelicaric and Rivera Sun

Veronica Pelicaric and Rivera Sun

Veronica Pelicaric is co-author, with Nina Koevoets, of Engaging Nonviolence: Activating Nonviolent Change in Ourselves and Our World (Pace e Bene Press, 2019). She is training coordinator at Pace e Bene and has led nonviolence workshops in Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, Haiti, Australia, Britain, and the Netherlands.

Rivera Sun is a change-maker, cultural creative, protest novelist, and advocate for nonviolence and social justice. She is the author of The Dandelion Insurrection, The Way Between, and other novels. She is the editor of Nonviolence News. She travels nationwide offering workshops in writing and making change through nonviolent action.
