Read, discuss, and apply the ideas in Culture Shift: Nonviolence At Work by Kit Miller. In this 4-week book discussion, join a community of kindred spirits in exploring how nonviolence can show up in the places and spaces where we work.
Join this discussion group if:
You’re longing for nourishing connections
You’re curious about nonviolence in the workplace
You might want to make a culture shift
You’re wondering if nonviolence is even possible in these contexts
You’re hoping to hear bright ideas and honest discussion
We will dig into the discussion questions. We’ll explore our personal stories and experiences. We’ll use breakout rooms and small groups. We’ll challenge ourselves to engage deeply with these ideas. We’ll celebrate the ways we’re already embodying nonviolence at work.
Special Guest: Author Kit Miller will join us for one of the sessions to answer questions, guide an exploration, and engage with your curiosity.
From nonprofits to faith communities, small businesses to large offices, we can all apply the concepts in Kit Miller’s book. Whether we’re a volunteer, worker, executive, board member, or more, Culture Shift has insightful commentary, true stories, and practical tips for all of us.
You will need to purchase the book separately. Get Culture Shift: Nonviolence At Work here: https://paceebene.org/store/culture-shift-nonviolence-at-work
About the Book
How do you work? In businesses and nonprofits, families and faith communities, how we work matters. Culture Shift: Nonviolence at Work reimagines these environments as places that are united with our values. Our work can feel like a nourishing part of our life. We can look forward to meetings. Working groups can become spaces we enjoy being, where learning is continuous and mistakes are welcomed, where each person knows they matter. The skills of nonviolence - changing perspectives, thinking systemically, and enacting patience and courage through feedback and conflict navigation - can change how we work together, and this book offers dozens of ideas and examples of how it’s done.
