As trainings shift online, facilitating nonviolence (or anything) has gained new challenges. In this course, trainers Veronica Pelicaric and Rivera Sun will share how to make tech seamless and virtual trainings magical. You will learn how to create a sensitive environment, opening and closing exercises, how to debrief content, and how to balance experiential learning with presentations. You will also learn how to use personal stories and humor, how to do role plays (yes, even online), and how to vary your use of technology to keep sessions lively. This course will be interactive and community building. It will be both philosophical and practical, dealing with both inner and outer skills. You will learn adaptations for Zoom and other online platforms. You will also learn basic tech support and simple practices to help participants feel comfortable with the technology. This webinar will also look at the inner work of facilitation, including common fears and concerns about starting out as a facilitator of nonviolence. Veronica and Rivera will offer their best practices from training hundreds of people online throughout the pandemic.

Recommended for all Engaging Nonviolence facilitators, nonviolence trainers shifting to online webinars, teachers, educators, and others who hope to gain more skills at facilitating online.

Participants will learn:

  • How to structure an online course

  • How to use technology simply and effectively
