Minneapolis is home to over 300 works of public art reflecting Minneapolis’ rich heritage and history of being a peaceful city. Celebrate International Day of Peace (Sept 21) and join us as we discover some of the unique treasures created by over 200 local and international artists.
Join artist and educator Susanne Crane as we take a thoughtful walk through the art on Nicollet Mall. Leah Robshaw Robinson of Friends for a Non-Violent World and her associates will present mini workshops on peace & conflict resolution. Singer-songwriter Elisha Marin will also perform for us! Please join us as we discover Minneapolis’ 2nd largest display of public art.
Tour begins at 1300 Nicollet Mall (outside the Hyatt Regency Hotel) at 10:30am. We'll walk to 4th Street and back to Peavey Plaza. Free weekend parking available at MCTC - 1501 Hennepin Ave. Paid parking available in the Hyatt and other ramps, or on metered side streets.
