Thanking Brother Sun for Energy in Green Bay, WI

The action by the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Cross in Green Bay took place on August 28th this year. (I observed that other people have taken action outside the timeframe designated by Pace e Bene.) We had a dedication ceremony for the augmentation of our solar array that now generates at least 50% of our electrical energy, with significant savings for Mother Earth. The event was well attended and received extensive coverage by the news media. I’ve included links for that below, and also the article that appeared in America Media Magazine just a few days ago.

Bishop David Ricken did the blessing to which our sisters, benefactors, and political leaders had been invited. We now generate half of our electricity using solar energy. We praise God for Brother Sun!

Some of us Sisters joined the Climate Strike rally held at the City Deck in Green Bay from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, September 20th. I am so grateful for the Youth Climate Action Team which is organizing across the country and the world in their demand that leaders take action to protect our Sister Mother Earth.  https://www.facebook.com/events/301-n-washington-st-green-bay-wi-54301-5129-united-states/green-bay-climate-strike/393709558005797/
