Swarms & Flocks, Phase Shifts & Tipping Points—Living Systems For Changing Systems
With Rivera Sun
2 hour workshop on Zoom
Wednesday, April 19
4-6 pm Pacific / 5-7 pm Mountain / 6-8 pm Central / 7-9pm Eastern
The world is changing all the time. By tapping into the wisdom of living systems, we can find ways to work with the patterns of change. From the grace of swarming bees to the strategy of flocks of birds, we can glean knowledge that can help us work with our communities to unleash powerful, transformative change. We can learn to see beauty and potential in the seemingly chaotic multiplicity of groups and people working toward overlapping goals. We can think strategically about how to leverage what Mary Oliver called "our one, wild and precious life." We can examine how to push an issue to a phase shift—like ice forming or a river melting in the spring. This workshop with Rivera Sun is about learning from living systems and applying the wisdom to our efforts toward social justice.
Fee: $25. Scholarships are available for anyone who cannot afford to attend. Email Erin at info@paceebene.org to request a scholarship.
