Peacebuilders’ Stories - Living the Path of Nonviolence

Thursday, November 18, 2021

3-5pm Pacific // 4-6pm Mountain // 5-7pm Central // 6-8pm Eastern

If you are on another time zone, find your start time here.

When Kirstin and Merwyn De Mello met they realized that they had the same intention for their lives: to walk alongside those experiencing violence and conflict. Their understanding of living a nonviolent path in relation to self, to each other, to others, to the Divine and the Earth deepened through that accompaniment. During this 2 hour workshop they will share with you what it has meant and continues to mean for them to follow the path that they have chosen and are committed to through its joys and challenges. They will use stories, songs, poems and photos during the session. Then, in dialogue with participants, together we will explore what the nonviolent path looks like practically in these current times. Discussion in small groups would touch on the following: How has your journey shifted over time? What principles or practices do you remain committed to? What challenges and joys have arisen in your own path? Join us for a two hour lively and rich exploration.
