In this 2-hr webinar, Reading To End Racism Cofounder Daniel Escalante will guide you through how to use personal stories and books to open up meaningful conversation about the impacts of racism and how to dismantle it. Daniel will facilitate group discussion, offer practice sessions, and share his experience working with tens of thousands of schoolchildren over twenty years. We will also connect this work with Pace e Bene/Campaign Nonviolence's mission to create a culture of active nonviolence, free from war, poverty, racism, and environmental destruction.
Participants will learn how to:
use picture books to help children understand racism
tell personal stories about how racism impacts people
listen in a way that helps children express and learn
facilitate a conversation that helps identify ways to help end racism
