Celebrate the International Day of Peace by joining us at the
Blue Scarf Peace Walk: Taking Action for the People and the Planet.
This year's walk will explore how peace and climate change are linked.
Gather at Grange Park on Beverly St. just south of Dundas St. W. There will be six stations, covering such topics as youth and climate action as peace-making; the white poppy campaign as anti-militarism; non-violent actions; resource extraction as a peace issue; and the importance of a nuclear ban. The walk will end at the Peace Garden in Nathan Phillips Square.
Come early and help prepare posters, white poppies and peace songs. (1pm at Butterfly Park at the Ontario College of Art and Design on McCaul Street next to Grange Park.)
