Saturday, September 14th:
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. -- Vigil on 11th St. in front of the Capitol.
3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. -- Room 4, Brewster Hall, at St. Stephen's Episcopal School (6500 St. Stephen's Dr.) for a combination teach-in and concert. We'll start with a short "Playing for Peace" concert. Then, very informally, we will treat, in turn, the most requested topics for further discussion and research: Gun Violence; Army Futures Command; Death Penalty and its relation to the overarching Penal System; Immigration; Climate (and the student strike on the 20th!); Living in Apocalyptic Times; and nonviolence related to Terry Malick's movies.
Sunday, September 15th:
1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. -- Vigil on 11th St. in front of the Capitol.
5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. -- Third Sunday gathering in the parish hall at All Saints Episcopal Church, 209 W. 27th St. Hosts are Jimi and Julaine Calhoun of Bridging Austin, members of our steering committee.
Monday, September 16th:
3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. -- Vigil on 11th St. in front of the Capitol. ,
Tuesday September 17th:
3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. -- Vigil on 11th St. in front of the Capitol.
Wednesday September 18th:
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. -- Vigil in front of the Army Futures Command building, 210 W. 7th St.
Friday, September 20th:
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. -- Austin Climate Strike -- at the Capitol, 1100 Congress, for Rally and Speeches.
Saturday, September 21st:
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon -- Nonviolence Training, Room 4 at St. Stephen's.
1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. -- Global Peace Day Vigil on 11th St. in front of the Capitol. Sunday,
1:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Chapel service at St. Stephen's, followed by lunch reflecting on Week of Action.
