Make the Shift To A Culture of Nonviolence
Campaign Nonviolence Action Days is about breaking out of passive complicity with the culture of violence … and making the shift into the culture of nonviolence.
Unless we do something profoundly different with our lives, it’s impossible to eat, work, shop, play, relax, dress, clean, bank, or do anything without getting entangled in systems that cause harm and destruction. That’s because the default setting of our culture is stuck on violence - physical, systemic, and cultural. But Campaign Nonviolence is working to change that.
We know we can’t be 100% nonviolent … but we can make ever-expanding efforts to make a shift away from violence and towards nonviolence toward our self, others, and the whole world through movements for social change.
During Action Days, tens of thousands of people are making the shift to a culture of active nonviolence by participating in 5,221 actions, gatherings, events, lectures, films, and other activities.

Each person who participates in any of these or the other 5,221 actions and events is actively withdrawing their time, energy, intelligence, creativity, and other resources from the culture of violence. Instead, they’re working with others to embody the world we want. They’re learning skills, building alternatives, pushing for solutions, and breathing into being the culture of active nonviolence.
Campaign Nonviolence Action Days is a time when we get to see the power of tens of thousands of us working together. See what’s happened here. See what’s coming up here.
