Hiring an Executive Director for Pace e Bene

Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service is a non-profit organization working to foster a just and peaceful world through nonviolence education, community-building, and action. “Pace e Bene” (pronounced “pah-chay bay-nay”) is an Italian greeting from St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi meaning “Peace and all Good.”  It is a blessing, a hope, and a way of acknowledging the sacredness of those whom we encounter. For over 30 years we have been leading nonviolence trainings, publishing books, and organizing actions for a nonviolent world. In 2014, Pace e Bene launched its most comprehensive project yet—Campaign Nonviolence, a long-term movement for a culture of active nonviolence, connecting the dots between war, poverty, racism, and environmental destruction.

Our projects include book publishing, creating nonviolence resources on social media and YouTube, leading dozens of trainings and workshops online and in-person each year, coordinating our annual Action Days event where thousands of nonviolent actions take place around the US and globally from the International Day of Peace (Sept. 21) to the International Day of Nonviolence  (Oct. 2), coordinating our Nonviolent Cities program which encourages cities and towns to incorporate nonviolence into their local communities, and so much more!
