Join this Changemaker's Art for Climate Justice Showcase
Our Changemaker Youth Grant Recipients are hard at work transforming their communities with creative exercises in nonviolence. From photography projects to murals, video PSAs to podcasts, these young activists are exploring what nonviolence can do to make the world a more peaceful place. You can read their proposals and check the latest reports here. Mark your calendars now—we’ll be celebrating their successes on zoom Saturday, June 25 at the Final Showcase & Closing Ceremony, and we hope you’ll join us!
In the meantime, Leila Chavez has shared the poster and website for her event: Art for Climate Justice. She’s still looking for people to join the showcase, so if you happen to be in the Olympia, WA area, be sure to check it out! In her own words, “The Art for Climate Justice Showcase is an opportunity for artists and creative thinkers of all ages to come together in an artistic protest against climate change and injustices. The culmination of this project will be an in person art exhibit showcasing participants’ artwork.” See her website here for more information.
