Pope Francis Begs for Peace in South Sudan

After a recent series of peace talks between the two warring sides of the conflict in South Sudan, Pope Francis and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, led a spiritual retreat for these two factions at the Vatican on April 11-12.

At the end of the retreat, the pope begged for them to make peace, and then he unexpectedly went around the room and got on his hands and knees and kissed the feet of each person on the warring sides.  See the video below. Read more here and find an editorial here.
