Lexington, KY Engages in Nonviolence Training
Lexington, KY is taking action against increasing violence in their community but utilizing Pace e Bene’s Engage nonviolence study program. Organizers at Safe Summer Lexington have been gathering participants twice a month starting this November to study nonviolence techniques in order to change the culture of their community. By educating youths and adults alike in techniques to de-escalate conflict and shift tense interactions to constructive ones, Safe Summer Lexington hopes to empower its citizens to act to promote peace in their neighborhoods.
Pace e Bene trainers Veronica Pelicaric and Rivera Sun will be in Lexington in March to lead a three day training.
