Seeking Campaign Nonviolence Outreach Assistant
Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service is a non-profit organization working to foster a just and peaceful world through nonviolence education, community-building, and action. We are seeking to contract with an experienced self-starter qualified to carry out systematic outreach via phone and email to help Campaign Nonviolence meet its goal of a minimum of 4,100 nonviolent actions (marches, rallies, demonstrations, etc.) to take place in all 50 states during the eighth annual Campaign Nonviolence Action Week, September 18-26, 2021. Position requirements and responsibilities: The outreach organizer will report to Campaign Nonviolence’s Action Week Coordinator, Rivera Sun. Using Campaign Nonviolence’s contact lists and database, the contractor will reach out to CNV’s local promoters and action organizers to secure commitments to organize one or more nonviolent actions in their area. Applicant would need to provide their own computer and phone. They must be based in the United States and available for weekly check-ins with the Action Week Coordinator via phone or video chat. Ability to work remotely and independently is a must.
Must also have a passion and support for the Pace e Bene mission and vision to foster a just and peaceful world through nonviolence education, community-building, and action; Commitment to nonviolence; Self-motivated; detail oriented; familiarity and ease with computers including working with Microsoft office products and Google Docs.
Hours/Pay: This is a part-time independent contractor position from roughly March 15 to Sept. 30, 2021, in which the contractor will work 15 hours/week at $15.00/hour. No other benefits or compensation is available and as a contractor no taxes will be withheld from paychecks.
