Fr. Louie Vitales Circle of Peace:

Taking Action to End Torture

Father Louie Vitale, a Franciscan priest, 75 years old, is touring the country to speak about Fort Huachuca where the military trains American Intelligence Officers in “Enhanced Interrogation” tactics such as water boarding.  Fr Vitale served five months in prison for crossing the line and praying at Fort Huachuca in Arizona.

Father Louie is a founder of Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service, which “fosters a more peaceful and just world through nonviolence education, community-building and action”.  Ordained in 1963, he has devoted his life to peace, working tirelessly for the dignity and well-being of people everywhere.
