The Circle of Peace Day

Valencia Community College, East Campus will host the “Circle of Peace Day” starting at 10:00 am in room 5-112 with a dialogue between Father Vitale, Franciscan priest, peace activist and one of the founders of Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service, Imam Muhammad Musri of the Islamic Society of Central Florida, and Profesor Subhas Tiwari, resident faculty from the Hindu University of America. Questions and answers will follow their conversation. 

At 12:00, Valencia will present a multi culture luncheon (yes, it’s free) with music by our colleague and guitarist, Troy Gifford.  Lunch will be an opportunity for the students, faculty and public to get to know each other and the topic of the day while listening to Troy’s beautiful harmonies.

From 2:00-4:00, Father Louie will speak on teaching peace.  He will explore, through his studies and experience and forty years’ devotion to peace, how we can communicate peace and live peace and through this, teach peace.
