Lindsay Martin: Pace e Bene Training Team

Lindsay Martin served two years as a volunteer at Pace e Bene through Mennonite Voluntary Service. She worked in the Oakland office as office manager and website coordinator. She participated in the Trainer Development Program and faciliated Engage trainings at: School of the Americas Watch, COOL Idealist.org Student Conference, Gandhian Conference on Nonviolence, and Call to Action.

Lindsay is currently a first year law student at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is involved in the Prisoner's Legal Education Project and the Environmental Law Project.

Originally from Salem, Oregon, she graduated in 2005 from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia with a B.A. in Justice Peace & Conflict Studies and Economics. She has volunteered at a mediation center doing restorative justice work and participated in the Alternatives to Violence Project at Graterford Prison.

She misses the Bay Area but is also enjoying life in Philadelphia where, although most of the day is spent studying, she tries to have enough free time to ride her pink bicycle, drink coffee and cook.
