Diane Lopez Hughes is a Pace e Bene Engage Workshop Facilitator.
She is a member of Voices for Creative Nonviolence, the Springfield Dominican Anti-Racism Team, Mary Wood Branch of Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, Pax Christi USA National Council and a local co-convenor of Pax Christi Springfield, IL.
She retired from her work as a nurse and hospice social worker to devote more time to peace, justice, and environmental organizing in her community as well as state and national efforts for peace, and has engaged in nonviolent civil resistance of nuclear weapons, Guantanamo detainments, and the War in Iraq.
Diane and her husband Patrick, a retired career public defense attorney, are the parents of two sons: Devin, 27, a symphonic conducting student; and Brendan, 24, a desert restoration environmentalist.
