Judith Kelly

US Mid-Atlantic Regional Associate

Judith Kelly facilitates Pace e Bene trainings in the Washington, DC and mid-Atlantic region. She has been arrested many times for nonviolent civil disobedience with Pax Christi, Nevada Desert Experience, and School of the Americas Watch. She served a three-month federal prison sentence at Alderson, West Virginia in 2003 for a misdemeanor trespass onto Ft. Benning, Georgia, home of the U.S. Army School of the Americas. She has participated or led delegations with Witness for Peace to Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador, and with Beyond Borders to Haiti. She served in Peru and Paraguay with the U.S. Peace Corps, and lived in Mexico as a Rotary Exchange student. She attends St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Washington, D.C.

Judith participated in the 2005 Global Exchange “Gandhian Legacy Tour” to India. The group visited constructive programs on village self-sufficiency and Gandhian memorial sites in northwest India. She is incorporating the inspiration of Gandhi into all her work.
