Born and raised in Los Angeles, Felicia Parazaider moved to the Bay Area in the fall of 2006 to begin her undergraduate program in Religious Studies and Peace & Conflict studies at the University of California, Berkeley. In December of ‘09 she completed her degree and is now planning on attending an interfaith seminary in Berkeley with the intention to become an ordained interfaith minister.
Felicia first came to Pace e Bene in the spring of 2008 to begin an internship, assisting in Fr. Louie’s speaking tour on the Circle of Peace campaign. Most recently she is participating in Pace e Bene’s year long nonviolence education program, finding it highly transformational.
After feeling moved to attend a peace delegation to Israel/Palestine with CODEPINK in the summer of ‘09, she found herself deeply affected by the witness of the trip. She is now currently focusing much of her energy on that region of the world and exploring the necessity of developing nonviolence strategies in the Middle East. An avid musician, writer, meditation student, and participant in internships with various human rights and women’s right organizations, Felicia’s goal is to devote her life to working in the fields of nonviolence and social justice in order to assist in co-creating a more just and peaceful society.
