In this workshop participants will explore ways to transform the dynamic of us vs. them that is strongly evident in the increased polarization within the religious, political, and cultural landscape of society. Transforming us vs. them is a fundamental principle and attitude for the nonviolent practitioner.
Workshop includes: understanding the dynamics of “us” vs. “them” thinking through an exercise designed to create an in-group and an out-group; creative exploration and sharing of nonviolent ways of being that help to transform “us” vs. “them” attitudes; experiencing an exercise where the piece of the truth that each person possesses becomes evident; and learning and practicing with communication tools that nurture “we” thinking.
