Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service is partnering with School of the Americas Watch to offer workshops to colleges, universities, high schools, church groups, and other community groups across the United States. These workshops will explore nonviolence and nonviolent action in the context of the issue of the SOA and students’, individuals’ and groups’ role in the movement to close it. This training is excellent preparation for your group as you anticipate attending the annual protest in Fort Benning on Nov. 17-18.
The Engage Workshop
The Engage workshop engages participants in a dynamic, experiential, interactive process, introducing students to the vision, spirituality and tools of transformative nonviolence.
Engage also:
opens up space for you to explore your experiences of violence and creative ways that you can transform these situations.
invites you to delve deeply into nonviolence as a spiritual discipline, a way of life, and a powerful force that can help to create a more just and peaceful society.
offers tools that you can use in your everyday lives, in your communities, and in movements for nonviolent social change, especially in the movement to close the SOA and challenge unjust foreign policy.
