Days of Decision Begin

The Declaration of Peace

DAYS of DECISION” Begin!

Endless war in Iraq —
or a Comprehensive Plan for Peace ?
These are the DAYS of DECISION!

This week, General David Petraeus submitted his report on the war to the U.S. Congress. Later this month, the Congress will decide about funding the
U.S. occupation of Iraq for another year.

That’s why, as a part of The Declaration of Peace nationwide
DAYS of DECISION campaign,
people across the country are planning local nonviolent actions.

The DAYS of DECISION begin September 14th, and continue until September 21st, the International Day of Peace.

Petraeus has spoken, and Congress will speak soon.

Now it is time for
We, the People, to Declare Peace!

The DAYS of DECISION actions call upon Congress to support a Comprehensive Peace Plan for Iraq.

This plan includes an end to war funding, U.S. troop withdrawal, closure of bases, reconstruction, and support for an Iraqi-led peace process.

Then hand-deliver these documents to your Senators’ and Representatives’ offices.
Ask them to commit to supporting a Peace Plan for Iraq.

The Comprehensive Peace Plan has already been presented to some Congresspersons and others are scheduled to be delivered next week.

It is our hope that every member of Congress receives the Comprehensive Peace Plan and pressure from their constituents
before the next vote on more war funding.

Please help make that a reality!
