On April 24th, Pace e Bene’s Northeast Associate, LR Berger was featured on New Hampshire’s Center for the Book’s blog. A poem from LR Berger’s Eagle Island was published on the site this past Friday.
In honor of April being poetry month, the Center has featured a different poet each day. Inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in April 1996, National Poetry Month brings together publishers, booksellers, literary organizations, libraries, schools, and poets around the country to celebrate poetry and its vital place in American culture. Thousands of businesses and non-profit organizations participate through readings, festivals, book displays, workshops, and other events. Learn more at http://www.poets.org.
The Center for the Book was established in 2003 to celebrate and promote reading, books, literacy, and the literary heritage and to highlight the role that reading and libraries play in enriching the lives of the people. We are an affiliate of the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress. Our activities include the semiannual publication of Book Notes; state coordination of Letters About Literature, a national student writing competition; awarding the Ladybug Picture Book Award each year; and participation in the National Book Festival.
