Agents of Nonviolent Change Certificate Program

Pace e Bene’s Agents of Nonviolent Change Certificate Program offers you tools to transform your life and to create a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world by:

  • “This program transformed me into a more compassionate person.  I am leaving this program knowing that I can participate in, and positively contribute to, any positive action for change.”Deepening your spiritual and practical foundations for nonviolent change;
  • Transforming conflict in your life, your family, your work, your community, and your society; and
  • Taking creative, compassionate action to unleash the power of nonviolent change.


This eight-month program invites you to live a more powerful and effective life, to apply the methods, models, and concrete examples of nonviolent change to your own situation, and to explore and strengthen your own identity as an agent of nonviolent change.

 

The Agents of Nonviolent Change Program includes:

Three intensive three-day workshops to be held at the Cenacle Retreat Center, Chicago:

  • Workshop I — October 29-31, 2010
  • Awakening Soulforce: Foundations for Becoming an Agent of Nonviolent Change 
  • Workshop II — February 25-27, 2011
  • Engaging Conflict Creatively: Tools for Becoming an Agent of Nonviolent Change
  • Workshop III — June 24-26, 2011
  • The Depths of Nonviolent Action: Taking Action as an Agent of Nonviolent Change

The program also includes:

  • Required and suggested readings and videos
  • Monthly group conference calls with facilitators
  • Periodic check-in with a Pace e Bene mentor
  • Ongoing communication with a program partner, and
  • Participation in a local project, organization, or movement for nonviolent change

The Agents for Nonviolent Change Certificate Program uses stories, videos, role-plays, small and large group discussions, journaling, and ritual to activate and integrate heart, body, mind and spirit for a more nonviolent world.

The three Agents for Nonviolent Change workshops are open to individuals who are not enrolled in the certificate program.

Tuition:
$800.00 (Deposit: $50)

Retreat center fees (three workshops):
Single room:      $588.00
Double room:    $468.00
Commuter:        $342.00

Fees are payable on a monthly payment plan.
