Pace e Bene Australia was established in early 2006 as an associated body to the US-based Pace e Bene Nonviolence Service. The primary activity of Pace e Bene Australia is to facilitate the Engage, From Violence to Wholeness and Traveling with the Turtle workshops across Australia. It has facilitators in nearly every state and territory.
Pace e Bene Australia grew out of the work of Pace e Bene Associate Brendan McKeague, who has led numerous Pace e Bene workshops throughout the country every year beginning in 1995.
In 2005, four North American Pace e Bene facilitator (Laura Slattery, Veronica Pelicaric, Ken Preston and Ken Butigan) participated in a Pace e Bene national gathering held outside of Melbourne and led a series of workshops across the nation.
