Gandhi & Jesus: Practicing Nonviolence for Enduring Peace

On June 15, 2007, the United Nations General Assembly declared
October 2nd to be International Day of Non-Violence, in honor of
the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, leader of the Indian independence
movement and pioneer of the strategy of non-violence.
 

Join us for a day of activities celebrating the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi and his teachings!

The program will contain cultural performances, interfaith presentations, prayers, and a talk on ‘Gandhi and Jesus: Practicing Nonviolence for Enduring Peace’  by Prof. Terrence Rynne, the Founder of the Marquette University Center for Peacemaking.
