Back by popular request, the author of Gandhi and Jesus, Terry Rynne will take you on retreat into the world of nonviolence where you will learn from the best: Jesus and Gandhi. Two of the key lessons that Gandhi took from Christianity are:
• The teaching in the Sermon on the Mount and
• The symbol of the Cross
Please join us and find out how these key lessons can help incorporate the essence of nonviolence into our lives today.
Terry will present 4 short teaching segments followed by sharing and general group discussion as well as within small groups. The 4 presentation segments are:
1. Gandhi and Jesus: The Power of Nonviolence
2. The “Good Life” according to Jesus and Gandhi: The “Kin(g)dom” of God
3. Gospel Nonviolence and Us: The Challenge of Discipleship
4. The Church as an Incubator Community of Nonviolence

Terrence J. Rynne Ph.D. is the author of the book Gandhi and Jesus, teaches peace/justice courses at Marquette University and is co-President of the Sally and Terry Rynne Foundation which is dedicated to peacemaking and the empowerment of women.
