The monthly film series is a tool to organize, grow and deepen nonviolent consciousness and actions with others in the community.  As each film focuses on contemporary and historical nonviolent responses to injustice, different community members more interested or allied with the films' "messages" show up.  As this happens, solidarity grows through the conversations following each film, and the diversity of the film-series community grows with it.

These conversations invite every voice to be raised, and last month in response to the film, The Children's March: Mighty Times, a dozen new youth were with us all of whom were eager to pledge their ongoing presence at the film series offerings.

The conversations each month stimulate sharing about particular injustices, while also exposing the shared dynamics of violence, such as social ranking and the us-them phenomena that powers injustice.  At each film, there is a call
for suggestions about actions those present are moved to take.  The medium of film, which engages passions so powerfully, is channeled on the spot into imagination and action.  Resources are also made available about each film's focus.

The film series is grounded in a web-building consciousness: it is cosponsored by a web of statewide and local organizations with Pace e Bene NE, and it seeks to bring diverse communities into the ongoing conversation, actions and sponsorship.  This month's film, "Bullied," will bring two new organizations into our conversation:  NH PFLAG and NH Freedom to Marry.
