Last week, I had the pleasure of attending an Interfaith Youth Core Conference titled– Leadership in a Religiously Diverse World in Chicago. I attended several workshops, plenary sessions and network gatherings, including a Speed Faithing module (think speed dating) on the Baha’i religion. (So happens Northwestern University is just two miles south of the Baha’is only North American Temple.)Peace is Possible. Peace is the norm. Peace is happening all the time. ~Susan Brooks Thistlethwaite, Center for American ProgressThe interfaith movement is normalizing pluralism. We are helping to counter the politics of ignorance with politics of understanding and interdependence. ~Anna Halafoff, Monash University
Leadership is a function, not a person. ~Eboo Patel, IFYC
Never apologize for what is authentic in your own tradition. You will not get authentic interactions if your approach is apologetic. Be honest! With them and yourself. ~ Imam Yahya Hendi, Clergy Beyond Borders

Hey there Vanessa, great review post of the conference. We’ve read many posts and reviews of the youth conference and everyone seems to be saying the same thing. Great to blog about it and pass on the information. Have a blast at the Parliament of World Religions, we’ll be following your blog!
