Animating Nonviolence

I just finished watching the Nonviolence Animation Video Project and I hope everyone everywhere will see it.

I watched this video via the Be Love website, which explains that it was created by its partner, Create Peace, in collaboration with Royer Studio.

Creativity, collaboration and even infectious fun will play a tremendous role in building a more nonviolent culture

The video is a breath-taking series of short animations produced by students at Palisades Charter High School in Los Angeles on nonviolence and three of its key ingredients: Courage, Compassion and Respect.  They were created in one day through a lot of collaboration – in other words, the process itself mirrored and reinforced the content that the students created.

Each video moved me, but I was especially intrigued at the depth of the video on Haiti, with its message that easing suffering can entail great risks.

This project underscored how creativity, collaboration and even infectious fun will play a tremendous role in designing and building a more nonviolent culture.  Watch this video to glimpse the nonviolent future!
