God’s politics have just posted a reflection on Tavis Smiley’s fantastic documentary on Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Beyond Vietnam” speech (airing on PBS tonight, check listings). Tavis comments “If you replace the words Iraq for Vietnam, Afghanistan for Vietnam, Pakistan for Vietnam, this speech is so relevant today.”

Give the disturbing news of “Christian militias” Dr. King’s encouragement that the answer to so-called “Christian Militias” is not “Christian conformity” nor “Christian compliance” but “Christian nonviolence.” (follow the link for whole article or to leave comments)
