 <title>My First Entry</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Trying to practice nonviolence in my life is difficult. My ego is powerful; my faults are many; and my blindness to the combination of the two often seems overwhelming. Gentleness with myself is the first step; however, I know too much about good actions and good thoughts to fall back to this stance. Yes, I can do better next time. Perhaps, I will. I know that the past can be healed by my actions today and the next.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I saved a cockroach today from sudden death in my dog&#039;s jaws. I spoke gently yesterday to people living in poverty.
